Wintering - A Celtic Journey
Your Guide
Celtic spirituality, compassion and the wisdom of the seasons for 21st century living.
Journey Description
Wintering is a gentle four-part journey through deep rest, sacred stillness, returning light, and the first quiet stirrings of renewal.
I invite you to begin by entering the wisdom of the winter landscape, where you are invited to release the pressure to keep striving and rest beside the steady warmth of a hearth fire. From there, a Celtic-inspired blessing guides you more deeply into winter stillness—a sacred pause in which nothing is urgent, everything is held, and you can remember your place within the greater wholeness of life.
The third meditation turns towards the slow return of light. Drawing on the spirit of Advent, it offers a space to practise patience, trust what is unfolding unseen, and reconnect with the quiet flame of hope within. The journey concludes with Brigid’s blessing for the turning year. Through the healing imagery of her flame, her well, and the patient earth, you will be gently accompanied from winter rest towards restoration, belonging, and new beginnings.
This journey is for anyone moving through tiredness, uncertainty, transition, grief, self-doubt, or a season in which life feels quieter than expected. It is especially supportive if you feel burdened by the expectation to be constantly productive, find the winter months difficult, or long for a more compassionate and meaningful way to slow down. You do not need to observe Advent or follow a particular spiritual tradition—only bring a willingness to pause, breathe, and listen.
Across the four tracks, you will be supported to soften effort, release tension, and cultivate a gentler relationship with yourself. Rather than rushing towards change, you will be invited to honour the wisdom of rest, enter the sacredness of stillness, welcome the gradual return of hope, and trust what is forming beneath the surface.
By the end of the journey, my hope is that you may feel calmer, more grounded, and quietly restored—with a renewed sense that you are not behind, you do not need to exhaust yourself to be worthy, and even in the deepest winter, the light is slowly returning.
