Here's six examples of adding extra dimensions to books, recordings, courses and images

You may already have the ingredients for your next creative offering.

An ebook in your back catalogue. A series of interviews. A collection of meditations. A course you have taught. Images waiting to be shared.

Bringing them together can open up possibilities you might not have considered. A book can be read and accompanied by practices to listen to. An interview can lead into a meditation. A card can offer an image to contemplate, a question to journal on and an audio journey to explore.

On NRJ, audio, video, text and images can work together in different combinations. My own portfolio offers six examples of what this makes possible.

A card deck you can explore and experience

The Half Keys of the Tarot brings a card deck together with journalling prompts and audio. Each image becomes a starting point for reflection and exploration.

Imagine what a similar approach could offer your artwork, photographs or illustrated teachings. What would you say if you were there to introduce an image? That could become its audio companion.

A course with several ways to learn

Alchemical Intelligence uses multiple media within one course. Text, audio and video give me different ways to explain ideas and guide practices.

If you already teach, you may have recordings, lesson notes and exercises ready to bring together. Start with those, then see where an additional explanation or demonstration would help.

A back catalogue book with a new dimension

New Magic for a New Era pairs an existing ebook with a meditation for each chapter.

The words provide the ideas; the meditations offer a way to explore them through experience. Your own book might benefit from commentary, exercises, demonstrations or stories about its creation.

Conversations that lead into practice

Healing Journeys is a podcast series in which each interview is augmented by a healing meditation.

The conversation opens a subject; the accompanying practice invites further exploration. An archive of interviews could similarly become a collection with reflections, activities or supporting resources.

A welcome into the world of an audiobook

This We Are This We Know augments a conventional audiobook with an animated video introduction.

Those introductions create another doorway into the work and can also sit on Youtube or Substack, pointing to the audiobook. Authors could use a personal welcome, a glimpse behind the story or an introduction to its themes.

An ebook that brings its author into the room

Clearing Writer’s Block combines an imported ePub book with a video author interview.

The book is ready to read, while the interview adds the voice and perspective of its author. It is a straightforward starting point for anyone with an existing ebook and a recorded conversation about it.

Start with what you have

Audio and images can be uploaded in bulk, while an ePub import brings in a book’s text. Depending on the structure you choose, you can add embedded media, links and downloadable resources.

You can also ask your AI to help you explore:

“Here is the content I already have: [list yours]. Suggest three ways to bring it together for [your audience]. Start with the simplest and quickest option for me, identify what I can reuse and what I would need to create, and flag any platform capabilities I should check.”

Choose one piece of work and one addition that would enrich someone’s experience.
