Short Stories
Short tales that leave a lasting memory
Zen Stories
This audiobook is a compilation of Zen stories, short ones, gathered into chapters by theme. The first chapter stays with the Zen focus. From there, we move through themes of elements, animals, insects, birds, gentleness, peace and love.
Between the stories there are prompts for awareness. Small questions you can carry into an ordinary day and use where the lesson actually lives.
You can also listen as you fall asleep. As you drift, your brain waves slow and open, and what you take in through that window settles into the subconscious. It keeps working on you quietly, in how you process things, how you see your life, how you meet the people around you.
So there are two ways in. Listen in waking hours and work with the prompts. Or let a story carry you into sleep and let it do its work there.
Finally, no need to read the chapters in order, you choose how your tales unfold for you ...
Now, let me tell you the first one.

Soulwaves : Insertions
This is both the prequel and sequel to the novel Soulwaves : A Future History. The stories straddle the present day and stretch from the beginning to the end of time in this particular Universe. Like the novel that inspired them, they are of course completely fictitious, laced with threads of universal truths. They are complete conjecture and wild rides of the imagination. They can be savoured and enjoyed if you have not listened to the novel but will make more sense when both books have been consumed. The order in which you read them is not important. Soulwaves themselves will pull you in the direction which is right for you. Discover how life may have started and might end on Earth. Learn how humans got the word and became self-aware. Find out how affairs on planet Earth, and in the Density, are influenced by benevolent intelligences that sit in the Void.

The Germinatrix
This book of short stories is both charmed and charming which was written to bring magic and wonder into the lives of its readers. The twenty two tales, and the art works that inspired them (by the very talented Paula Swenson), are short explorations and expositions of aspects of our consciousness.

Time Restored : A Temporal Novella
When a mysterious phone arrives on their doorstep, Jenna and Tim assume it must be a mistake. Then it rings.
Within days, a voice from elsewhere has given them the winning lottery numbers, an impossible fortune, and instructions that lead them from London's West End to the ancient heartlands of Wiltshire.
A book on temporal alchemy, a horologist with impossible memories, the stones of Stonehenge and a forgotten stately home all begin to reveal a pattern too precise to be chance.
As Jenna and Tim are drawn into the hidden School of Temporal Alchemy, they discover that time is not a straight line but a living fabric, one that can be healed, folded, restored and, when necessary, rewritten. Part metaphysical mystery, part speculative fable, Time Restored is a tale of destiny, causality and the quiet work of those who serve between the ticks of the clock.
It was also written as a case study for my author clients in how to use nested loops to entrance the reader ... and listener.
