Freebird Meditations with Katie Fleming Thomas

Welcome, I’m Katie, a licensed therapist, somatic practitioner, and meditation teacher. I share practices that help us reconnect with ourselves, find peace & freedom in our lives, and perhaps touch and experience the mystery beyond what we can see.

About Your Guide

Hello, I am Katie Fleming Thomas. I’m a licensed psychotherapist, somatic practitioner, and meditation teacher with a particular interest in supporting people as they heal from trauma and discover regulation within their own nervous systems, not simply as an idea, but as a felt experience.

I believe that when we begin to feel more at home within ourselves, something new opens. We have more freedom to be present, connect with what matters, and enjoy this one life we have been given.

It is a journey, and one I am walking too. Through meditation, somatic practices, and gentle reflection, I hope to offer a few lampposts along the way.
The Return

The Return

I'd like to share The Return with you, a daily companion of gentle, nourishing and inspiring practices to help you come home.

For each of us, returning looks different. You may not know exactly what you're returning to. Perhaps a steadier relationship with yourself. A body you can hear and feel again. A little more room around your thoughts. Or a remembering of something larger, a sense of Source, of Spirit, of the aliveness that moves through all things and has never once left you.

The Return is a 30-day journey home, not to a different or improved version of yourself, but toward what has been here all along. We begin with awareness, turn toward the heart, come home to the body, and carry it all into ordinary life. Timeless teachings from the world's wisdom traditions move through it, reminding us that we are held by something greater than ourselves.

Each day asks for about ten minutes: a few words to open the way, a guided practice, and a reflection you can carry with you as you head back out into your life. Some days may open something unexpected. Others may feel quiet, or ordinary. You may miss a day, lose the thread, wander off. And then you return. That is the deeper practice. Not arriving once and staying, but learning that you can come back, again and again. There is always something to return to.

Come as you are. I'll walk alongside you, and we'll see what we discover on this journey.
